President’s Message

2023 was another very good year for the Needlework Guild of Canada, Toronto Chapter.

Distribution Day was a great success as we work to adapt to the changing needs of our Agencies. Since they are serving an increasing number of clients, they depend on us even more to help fill their requirements for both knitted and purchased items. This year we distributed 5,821 knitted items and 17,212 purchased items. A big thank you from everyone to Carole and her team for all the work they put in to make this day so successful.

Please continue to support our efforts with your knitted items. Your work is appreciated by us and our twenty-one Agencies. Please consider making a financial donation so we can purchase even more of the basic necessities required by our Agencies. For any donation of $10 or more, you will receive a tax receipt.

Social media has become a great tool to increase our reach for new members as well as increased donations. We continue to focus on both our Instagram and Facebook pages. We now have 168 regular followers on Instagram. As we want to increase these numbers we will be making an effort to post more regularly.

A special thank you to our convenors, executive and board members for all that you have done to make 2023 so successful. I look forward to an even more successful 2024.
